Help get Alpha Surf Life Saving Club get back on water and saving lives.

Recently their club was broken into and the outboard engine for their RIB was stolen. This is a huge blow to the club and their ability to save lives.

Alpha Surf Lifesaving Club is the first black voluntary Surf lifesaving club founded in 1961 at Bluewaters, Strandfontein.

These guys have been saving lives in the rough surf of False Bay Coast since 1961. Beyond just being a club to serve the beach going population of Strandfontein, they have also played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young men and women who are the clubs members and volunteer lifeguards.

Francois Sisam AKA Die Kaptein, is a real character of  Cape Paddling Community. Francois is chairman, coach, mentor, handy man and all round good guy for the Alpha team.

A replacement engine cost R 40 000. That means just R 140 from each entrant will raise sufficient funds. The Freedom Paddle Team has kicked things off with an R5 grand donation.

Use the form below to contribute. Pledge as little or as much as you are able. You can edit the amount to donate in the box below.

Alpha runs the on water lifeguard safety for the Freedom Paddle. This year 2 of their members will be taking on the race themselves. Let's pull together, dig into our pockets and raise the funds these guys need.
